Terms of Service

1. Use of the Service

CSFC.app is a platform that allows users to:

• Create and manage profiles
• Interact with other users
• Access football-related community content and services
• Participate in activities and features provided within the platform

We provide the platform itself but do not guarantee the outcome, quality, or safety of interactions, matches, or activities arranged between users. Any arrangements made between users are the sole responsibility of the users involved.

2. Account Registration

To use the Service, you must:

• Create an account
• Provide accurate and complete information
• Keep your login credentials secure and confidential

You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account, unless such activity results from unauthorized access that you promptly report to us at team@csfc.app.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account and use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.

If you are aware that a user under 16 has created an account, please report it to team@csfc.app so we can take appropriate action.

4. User Responsibilities

You agree not to:

• Misuse the Service or use it for any unlawful purpose
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Upload or share harmful, illegal, abusive, or infringing content
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or our systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these responsibilities, in accordance with Section 14.

5. Payments

Payments within the Service (e.g., for event bookings or paid features) are processed via Stripe.

• CSFC.app does not offer subscriptions or free trials; all payments are one-time payments for specific events, bookings, or features
• Pricing and payment terms will be clearly displayed before purchase
• We do not store your payment card details; this is handled directly by Stripe

Right of Withdrawal (EU Consumers): If you are a consumer in the European Union, you generally have the right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days without giving a reason, in accordance with Directive 2011/83/EU.

Exception: this right does not apply to bookings for a specific event with a specific date or period of performance (e.g., a scheduled football event), in accordance with Article 16(l) of Directive 2011/83/EU, which exempts such leisure-related services from the right of withdrawal.

Except as required by the right of withdrawal above, payments are handled in accordance with our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which generally provides for credit to your CSFC Balance (rather than a cash refund) when you cancel a booking, and a choice between credit or a cash refund when we cancel an Event.

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party providers to operate the Service:

• Stripe — payment processing
• Supabase — database and backend hosting
• Google Analytics — usage analytics

These providers operate under their own terms and privacy policies, which may apply in addition to these Terms.

7. Content

7.1 User Content — You retain ownership of the content you create and share on the Service ("User Content"). By posting User Content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, store, display, reproduce, and process such content solely for the purposes of operating, maintaining, and improving the Service.

7.2 Prohibited Content — You may not post content that:

• Is illegal, harmful, or misleading
• Violates the intellectual property rights of others
• Contains hate speech, harassment, or abuse
• Impersonates any person or entity

We reserve the right, but not the obligation, to remove any content that violates these Terms.

7.3 Company Intellectual Property — The Service, including its name, logo, design, software, and underlying technology, is owned by the Company or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the limited right to use the Service as intended, these Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks, logos, or other brand assets.

8. Participation in Events; Assumption of Risk

CSFC.app may facilitate access to football matches, training sessions, or other physical events organized by the Company, by other users, or by third parties ("Events").

You participate in any Event at your own risk. Football and related physical activities carry an inherent risk of injury. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

• The Company is not liable for any injury, illness, death, or property damage arising from or in connection with your participation in an Event, whether caused by another participant, a third party, playing conditions, equipment, or your own actions
• You are solely responsible for assessing your own fitness and medical suitability to participate in any Event
• Nothing in this Section limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including liability arising from the Company's own gross negligence, willful misconduct, or death/personal injury directly caused by the Company where mandatorily imposed by Portuguese law

We strongly recommend that you hold appropriate personal accident or liability insurance before participating in any Event.

9. Media Release (Photos, Video, and Content from Events)

By attending or participating in an Event organized or hosted by the Company, you acknowledge and agree that we (and photographers or videographers acting on our behalf) may capture photos, video, and other content of you during the Event.

You grant the Company a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, edit, reproduce, and publish such content — including your likeness where captured — for marketing, promotional, and social media purposes, across our website, app, and social media channels, without additional compensation to you.

If you do not wish to be featured in such content, please notify us in advance at team@csfc.app, and we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate your request; however, this may not always be possible in the context of group or crowd footage from an Event.

10. Service Availability

• We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability
• We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature of the Service at any time
• We may perform scheduled or emergency maintenance, which may temporarily affect availability

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service
• We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of content or interactions on the Service
• The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," and use of the Service is at your own risk

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law (e.g., liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud).

12. Force Majeure

We are not liable for any failure or delay in performance resulting from causes beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, labor disputes, internet or infrastructure failures, or actions of third-party service providers.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Company, its affiliates, and their respective officers and employees from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the Service.

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if:

• You violate these Terms
• Required to do so by law
• Necessary to protect the security or integrity of the Service

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, including applicable retention periods.

15. Data Protection

Your personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection law, including the GDPR.

16. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the Service or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

17. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of Portugal, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of the district of Sintra, Portugal (the location of the Company's registered office), without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights you may have under the law of your country of residence.

If you are a consumer in the EU, you may also access the Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform provided by the European Commission at: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr

18. General Provisions

• Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and the Company regarding the Service.
• Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
• No Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of that right or provision.
• Language: These Terms may be translated into other languages. In case of any conflict or ambiguity, the English version shall prevail.
